LBCC COVID-19 Spectator Policy

Amid the ever-changing circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Long Beach City College and the Athletic department continue to balance competition opportunities with the health, safety, and wellbeing of our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and spectators.

Individuals who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms have been in close contact (within 6 feet for more than 15 minutes during a 24-hour time period) with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or are under any isolation or quarantine orders due to COVID-19, cannot enter any LBCCD premises.

Indoor Venues

All LBCC indoor athletic venues will require proof of vaccination via the Cleared4 app (indoor link) to enter. LBCC Athletics will not accept a negative test result within 48 hours to enter.

Outdoor Venues

All LBCC outdoor athletic venues will require proof of vaccination or a negative test result within 48 hours via the Cleared4 app (outdoor link) to enter.

Viking Health Monitoring Entry

All LBCC athletic venues will have monitoring stations. Spectators may get their pass via the Cleared4 app and show proof of a completed Clearance Pass to enter.

Follow the on-screen instructions. Spectators will receive a green Clearance Pass for the successful upload of a negative test within 48 hours and a blue Clearance pass to successfully upload a vaccination record.

Spectators will be required to complete a new Clearance Pass every week. Once the Clearance Pass is secured, take a screenshot of it in case a building monitor asks to see your pass if you are attending another athletic event on the same day. Spectators will be required to present the appropriate Clearance Pass depending on the location (indoors vs. outdoors).

Failure to follow instructions or LBCCD procedures may lead to removal from the contest and/or campus.

Ticketed Contests

Purchase of a ticket does not provide automatic or continued access to the competition. Athletic venues will have monitoring stations at all entrances. Monitoring stations will review and confirm the Clearance Pass has been completed before granting entry. Failure to follow instructions or LBCCD procedures may lead to removal from the contest and/or campus.

Face Coverings (Required Indoors)

In following health and safety guidelines, all guests ages two (2) and older must wear face coverings that adequately cover the face and mouth, except when actively eating or drinking, at LBCCD athletic venues. Failure to follow this policy may lead to removal from the contest and/or campus.

Physical Distancing

All guests are strongly encouraged to distance themselves physically from others as much as possible during the contest.

Athletic Venue Access

Only student-athletes, coaches, officials, game-day staff, and administrators have access to competition areas at LBCC athletic venues. Home and visiting spectators are required to sit in the stands at the athletic venue at all times.

Parking

Out of an abundance of caution and safety, no tailgating is allowed. A parking pass will be required to park on game day. Off-site, LBCC contest athletic venues are subject to the policies of the host site.
