Beach volleyball's Paige Panter from Southgate, TX has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Loyola Marymount University.

Panter's outstanding freshman season in the beach volleyball program's first year sparked waves as she and her partner Sarah Miller were crowned with the gold medal in the 2017 California Community College Athletic Association Individual State Championships. Panter said the victory was the culmination of hard work that's enveloped the pair since the start of the season.

As a whole, the team brought home the silver medal in the state championships.

Panter debuted her talents in the Long Beach Legend's Quad Tournament, which was the school's first ever beach volleyball tournament and led the program in its first-year to a 17-5 overall finish with an 8-4 conference record.

She is set to compete on the sand at Loyola Marymount University, starting this upcoming spring season. The Lions, led by John Mayer, compete at the NCAA Division I level and are a member of the West Coast Conference.
