Three Beach Volleyball Pairs to All-Conference List, May-Treanor Named Coach of the Year for the Second-Consecutive Year

It was recently announced by the South Coast Conference (SCC) that three women's beach volleyball pairs earned All-Conference recognition. Sophomores Doris Woods and Isabella Alvarez, sophomores Elsa Woods and Kaitlyn Peterson earned First-Team accolades, while sophomores Jessica Blakeman and Kylee Irwin-Paz brought home Second-Team honors. Also, women's beach volleyball head coach, Misty May-Treanor was also named the SCC Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive year.

May-Treanor led the women's beach volleyball team to their second-consecutive conference championship with an undefeated 6-0 record and the team's runner-up finish in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Team State Championship.

D. Woods and Alvarez had a successful season earning First-Team accolades. During conference play, D. Woods and Alvarez fought rigorously throughout their conference matches. The pair placed third in the SCC Pairs Tournament on April 19 to advance to the CCCAA Pairs State Championship Tournament.

E. Woods and Peterson also contributed to the Vikings success this season with First-Team honors. E.Woods and Peterson helped the Vikings to their Conference title for the second-consecutive year and placed fourth in the SCC Pairs Tournament. They also advanced to the CCCAA Pairs State Championship Tournament, where they advanced to the Top 16.

Blakeman and Irwin-Paz were also recognized this season with Second-Team honors by advancing to the Top 16 in the SCC Pairs tournament.
