Baseball Set to Play Ventura in SoCal Regional Playoffs

After claiming a piece of the South Coast Conference Title, the No. 12 Long Beach City College baseball team is set to travel to No. 5 Ventura College for a best-of-three game series in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Southern California Regional Playoffs with the first game on Friday, May 3 at 2:00 p.m. Game two will be on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. and game three, if necessary, will start follow game two.

The Vikings are coming off a 26-14 overall record with a 17-5 record in the conference action. This year, Long Beach was crowned the South Coast Conference South Division Champions along with No. 2 El Camino College.

This season, the Ventura College Pirates (26-14) took home a piece of the Western State Championship for the first time since 2006 and went 9-3 in conference play.

Admission for this week's CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoff is $12.00 for general admission and $8.00 for identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children less than 12 years of age.
