The Vikings were feeling the heat as they clashed with the Cerritos College Falcons on the diamond. In a hard-fought battle, they ultimately succumbed 5-3 to the Falcons on Friday afternoon.

Liam Taylor suffered the loss (1-1), yielding five runs on three hits to the Falcons' offense. The Falcons wasted no time asserting dominance, scoring five runs in the first and second innings, capitalizing on the Vikings' defensive lapses.

However, the Vikings refused to go down without a fight. In the bottom of the third inning, Xander McLaurin delivered a clutch 2 RBI double, bringing Brett Abudayyeh and Davis Grawey across the plate. Luke Davis then followed up with an RBI single, scoring McLaurin.

Despite the Vikings' late rally, they couldn't bridge the gap, and the Falcons held onto their lead, securing the 5-3 victory. The Vikings now turn their focus to the upcoming SoCal Regional playoffs, set to resume action on Friday, May 3rd. For all the latest updates, be sure to stay tuned to LBCCVikings.com.
