Long Beach City College sophomore quarterback Ryan Craighead and sophomore wide receiver Travon Payne were named Southern California Football Association (SCFA) West Conference Co-Offensive Players of the Week after the pair lit up the scoreboard in the Vikings' 54-47 win over Los Angeles Pierce College on Saturday.

Craighead threw for 468 yards and five touchdowns to help lead Long Beach to the win. His 468 passing yards ranks No. 3 on the all-time single game LBCC record book while his five TD passes tied him for third most in a game. He closed the contest completing 27 of 43 passes with one interception.

Craighead was named offensive player of the week for the second time this season.

Payne tied a LBCC record with four receiving touchdowns in the win. Payne had touchdown catches of 22, 25, 37, and 72 yards. He closed the contest with 11 receptions for 216 yards. It was his third straight game with 100+ yards receiving.

Long Beach is back in action this Saturday (Oct 1) when it travels to Santa Ana College for a 1pm non-conference game.
