Football: Vikings earn three SCFA All-Central Conference honors

Three members of the 2012 Long Beach City College football team were named to the SCFA National Division All-Central Conference team. All-conference selections were made on Tuesday at the Central Conference postseason coaches meeting at Mt. San Antonio College.

On offense, sophomores Jared Ginter (center) and Oliver Robertson (left) were second-team All-Central Conference picks. Ginter led LBCC running backs with 469 yards on 122 carries (3.8 yards per rush average) while Robertson anchored the Vikings' offensive line.

On defense, sophomore defensive back Montez Hunter (right) was also a second-team selection. Hunter was fourth on the Vikings with 47 total tackles (37 solo) and broke up nine passes.

LBCC recently closed its toughest season in school history, going 0-10 overall in 2012 after playing one of the nation's most difficult schedules.
