The Southern California Football Association has released the official 2016 team schedules for all 37 programs. Long Beach will host Pasadena City College in both squads' season opener on Sep. 3 while the Vikings will face Saddleback College in a rematch of last season's Southern California Championship final the following week on Sep. 10.

LBCC will also host non-league games at Veterans Memorial Stadium vs. College of the Canyons (Sep. 24) and Golden West College (Oct. 1) before opening National Central League play at rival Mt. San Antonio College on Oct. 15.

The Vikings host Chaffey College on Oct. 22 in a league game. Two weeks late, LBCC faces another showdown with Riverside City College at Vets Stadium on Nov. 5. Long Beach closes the regular season on Nov. 12 at El Camino College.
