The Vikings took down the LA Harbor Seahawks 26-19 on Saturday evening at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in the 2017 Long Beach City College Homecoming Game. This is the Vikings' third consecutive conference win and they are on a four-game winning streak. This brings the Vikings' record to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the Central League.

The Seahawks opened the game with a 26 yard field goal, but Long Beach's offense powered through the first quarter and sophomore wide receiver Mike Wilson rose up in the air in the 7th minute for a 15 yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback Grant Lowary to take the lead 7-3.

Long Beach continued to add points to the board with a safety in the second quarter and then, LA Harbor scored their first run with five minutes left in the first half, but Wilson pulled through once again for another 25 yard bomb thrown by Lowary to take back the lead 16-10. To close out the half, with one second left on the clock, freshman kicker Agustin Delgadillo from Carson High School, smashed a 44 yard field goal to raise Long Beach up 19-10.

LA Harbor held the Vikings' offense in the third quarter and was able to sneak in a touchdown, but the Vikings blocked the kick to deny their extra point.

The Seahawks tied the game with a field goal early in the fourth quarter 19-19. Freshman running back Elijah Bynum took matters into his own hands and ran in a 12 yard touchdown to seal the Vikings win 26-19.

The Vikings totaled 339 yards in offense with 205 in the air. On the defensive side, Long Beach had six sacks with 27 yards on LA Harbor. Sophomore defensive lineman Gilbert "Bubba" Valera owned one of those sacks with six yards, while also bringing in nine tackles. Sophomore defensive back Guy Alford netted eight tackles along with two breakups for Long Beach to keep the Seahawks at Bay.

The Long Beach City College Vikings will play again next Saturday at Riverside City College in their fourth conference game at 6 p.m.
