Five Vikings Sign Letters of Intent

The Long Beach City College football team saw freshman offensive lineman Aluma Nkele, freshman defensive tackle Xavier Cousar, sophomore linebacker Clavon Caine, freshmen safeties Darrien Wingfield and Ryan Wilson all sign national letters of intent to further their athletic and academic careers at the next level.

Nkele signed his national letter of intent with the University of Texas, El Paso in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Conference USA.

Cousar is also going to NCAA Division I at Grambling State University in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Cousar was a standout on the field this past season with the Vikings as he reeled in second team defensive honors.

Also on the second team defensive honors list was Caine, who has signed with NCAA Division II Western New Mexico University in the Lone Star Conference, along with Wingfield.

Freshman safety Ryan Wilson will be walking on to NCAA Division I Fresno State University in the Mountain West Conference.
