State-Ranked No. 26 Vikings Charge through Golden West 100-75

The No. 26 Long Beach City College men's basketball team took down Golden West College 100-75 on Monday evening in the Hall of Champions.

The Vikings outscored the Rustlers in the first half 55-28 and continued the offensive momentum throughout the game. The Vikings were 82.5% on the line and collectively drew 39 rebounds and 25 fouls against the Rustlers.

Sophomore guard Jace Bass was unstoppable on offense by leading the team with 46 points. Sophomore forward Matthew Schmidt nailed 23 points and had eight rebounds for the Vikings. Sophomore guard Kester Ofoegbu was also undeniable on the court as he tallied the double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds.

The Vikings will be back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Rio Hondo College at 6 p.m.
