Men’s Soccer Remain Undefeated in First Home Game

The Long Beach City College men's soccer team hit the home field for the first time this season by facing off against the Cuyamaca College Coyotes Friday afternoon on the Viking Soccer Field. The Vikings scored the only goal of the game in the 1-0 victory in the 87th min for the win.

The Vikings fought hard in the heat offensively against the Coyotes. With 18 shots total, the forwards kept the Cuyamaca goalkeeper busy. In the 87th minute, sophomore forward Christopher Ribet finally connected with the back of the net with the help of an assist from sophomore forward Bryan Majano.

Defenders Daniel Camacho, Anthony Mejia and Julian Guerrero worked tirelessly to keep the back line strong against the Cuyamaca offense.

Goalkeeper Andres Figueroa-Flores had three saves for the Vikings.

Men's soccer will play again on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at San Bernardino Valley College at 4 p.m.
