The men's soccer team took down the LA Harbor College Seahawks with a 1-0 conference win on Tuesday afternoon. The Vikings defeated the Seahawks last season with a 3-2 victory in their first meeting, but then fell 1-0 in their second game against LA Harbor.

Sophomore goalkeeper Andres Figueroa-Flores held on to the shut out with two saves in 90 minutes of work. Defenders Anthony Mejia and Julian Guerrero worked tirelessly on the backline to limit the Seahawk offense to only three shots.

The first half of the game was scoreless and then in the beginning of the second half, sophomore forward from Downey High School, Bryan Majano scored with the magic touch to put the ball in the back of the Seahawks' net.

The Vikings finished the game with their first conference victory and their ninth win overall. Long Beach City College men's soccer will play again in their fourth conference game on Tuesday, October 10 at Cerritos College at 2 p.m.
