The Long Beach City College men's soccer team dominated the LA Mission Eagles 5-2 on Friday afternoon.

Freshman forward Jose Paz was the first to score down the middle with the assist from the right-hand side from sophomore forward Steven Espinoza. The Eagles then scored six minutes later to tie the game 1-1. Then freshman forward Sahleek Joubert smashed a hard ball to the back of the net with the help from sophomore forward Carlos Maldonado to end the half in the lead 2-1.

The Eagles scored at the beginning of the second half, but the Vikings were quick to return to offensive action. Maldonado scored his first goal with sophomore defender Adrian Martinez behind the assist, then sophomore Ruben Menjivar polished off a goal with a ball from Maldonado. Sergio Flores scored the final goal for the Vikings to win the game 5-2 over the Eagles.
