The Long Beach City College men's soccer team defeated the Chaffey College Panthers 2-0 on Friday afternoon to break in the new KLAC Facility. With the win, the Viking starts the season with a 1-0 record.
Midfielder Aaron Rojas jump-started the Vikings as he scored the first goal for the Vikings within the first minute of the game, with forward Diego Albanez on the assist.
Midfielder Leo Sanchez kept the Vikings' offensive momentum rolling with a goal in the seventh minute of the game, with Albanez behind the assist again.
Goalkeeper Ryan Swan earned his first shutout of the season and had five total saves.
