The Long Beach City College Vikings suffered a 2-0 loss to Cerritos College on Tuesday afternoon. With the loss, the Vikings now post a 7-4-3 overall record and are 1-2-2 in conference play.
Goalkeeper Yancy Monterola suffered the loss in the net but had three saves against the Falcons.
"We're still developing as a team and today there were glimpses of what we could do," said forward Shawn Foster. "It didn't all come together today, but with some practice and as the season goes on, we'll step into those shoes."
The Vikings will return to the field on Friday, October 20 at Rio Hondo College at 4 p.m.
