2020 Top Vikings Performance- Vikings Swimming hosts Dual Meet

The Vikings are highlighting some of the Top Team Performances of the 2019-20 year. Due to concerns over COVID-19, competition for all spring sports were canceled halfway through their season.

The swim team's top performance was during their home dual meet against El Camino College and East Los Angeles College.

For the men's team, sophomore Michael Baker was phenomenal in the water with three first-place finishes in the 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard freestyle, and in the 200-yard backstroke. Freshman Sullivan Moore glided through the Warriors and the Huskies with ease with three first place finishes in the 100-yard free, 100-yard fly, 200-yard individual medley.

On the women's side, freshman Rachel Westphal finished on top in three races as well in the 200-yard free with a 2:08.94, the 50-yard free with a 26.40, and in the 100-yard free with a 58.88.

Freshman Maggie Damon also took home the gold in the 100-yard individual medley with a 2:34.17 and in the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:48. 59. She also placed second in the 100-yard breast with a 1:17.07.

Swimming is scheduled to return in Spring 2021.
