Men's Water Polo Brings Down Mt. SAC in Home Opener

The men's water polo team took down the Mount San Antonio Mounties 17-12 in their season opener at the Viking Aquatics Complex on Wednesday afternoon. Freshman attacker Hugo Roscio was the top scorer for the Vikings with four goals.

The Vikings battled the Mounties from the start by outscoring them 5-2 in the first quarter. The Vikings kept up the momentum with consistent scoring throughout the game. Sophomore attackers Felipe Carsalade and Karlo Krmek scored three goals each for Long Beach. 

Freshmen Dusan Ivanovic, Fabio Mujica and Ivan Mercep all scored two goals each to keep the lead. 

Freshman goalkeeper Seth Seaboch was a force to reckon with in the cage against the Mounties and held his own with seven blocks.

The men's water polo team will play again Friday, Sept. 7 in the Golden West Tournament with their first game against Ventura College at 8:40 a.m.
