Water Polo's Fedotov Wins Gold at Maccabiah Games

This past week, water polo attacker Nicolas Fedotov participated in the 2022 Maccabiah Games in Israel and won gold with Team USA.

Team USA faced off with Team Israel in the finals at the Wingate National Pool and came out on top with the 12-6 gold medal victory.

Per USA Water Polo, "The Maccabiah Games are contested every four years in Israel and include a slate of team and individual sports. Athletes march into the main stadium by country during opening and closing ceremonies. In addition, for the week prior to the game's opening, athletes will visit tourist sites, especially those of historical and cultural interest. This is a unique opportunity to represent the United States in international water polo competition. It is also an opportunity to meet, compete against, and learn about the lives of athletes living all over the world."

During the 2021 season with the Vikings, Fedotov was a standout attacker as he tallied 35 steals, 27 goals and 14 assists.
