Over the weekend, the Long Beach City College cross-country teams competed in the SoCal Preview at Mission Bay Park hosted by Cuyamaca College.

Sophomore Donovan Zavala placed the highest for the Vikings with a 12^th place finish with a time of 21:49.3 in the four-mile run. Next up for the men's team was freshman Jonathan Ruiz with a 22:44.6 in 46^th place.  Freshman Evan Ridgeway also placed for the Vikings with a 24:33.8 time.

On the women's side, sophomore Dasani Zavala placed 43^rd with time of 21:54.3. Following Zavala was freshman Amaya Ferris with a time of 21:55.5 in 46^th place.

The Long Beach City College cross-country teams will race again on Friday, Sept. 27 in the Coach Downey XC Classic at Morley Field hosted by San Diego City College at 11 a.m.
