Softball Standouts: All-SCC Honors Recognize Top Performers

All-Conference List

Seven softball players from the South Conference were recognized for their outstanding performances by being named to the All-SCC honors list after securing second place in the conference.

Anaya Togia was named Most Valuable Player after holding the highest batting average in the SCC, boasting an impressive .511 and clinching the top spot in the state batting leaderboard. Togia also led the state with 59 RBI in just 40 games, along with topping the charts in hits (67) and doubles (22). Her dominance extended to a SCC-best slugging percentage of .863, ranking third in California, and belting eight home runs.

Bayleigh Frye secured first-team honors with a remarkable 17-8 record, a 2.12 ERA, and 155 innings pitched. Frye led the SCC with an impressive 134 strikeouts. Xiomei Geluz joined Frye on the first-team list with a batting average of .455, leading the conference in runs scored (52), walks (24), stolen bases (26), and RBIs (24).

Making their mark on the second-team all-conference were Robin Garcia, boasting a .443 average and driving in 37 runs, and Breanna Lucero, with a .384 batting average, 2 home runs, and 27 RBIs.

Alynna Gonzalez and Jordyn Villanueva received honorable mentions for their contributions to the team's success.
