Track & Field’s Tylor Wallace Takes 1st Place in the 800m

The men's and women's track & field programs traveled to San Diego Mesa College to compete in the Arnie Robinson Twilight on Friday, April 6.

Sophomore distance runner Tylor Wallace, who is currently ranked ninth in Southern California, impressed everyone and took first place overall in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.85. 

Sophomore thrower Jarrod Amyx took seventh place in his flight with the discus throw and ninth overall with distance of 39.25 meters.

Sophomore hurdler Sherrice Pelle earned a spot in fourth place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.25. Then Freshman Alysia Green also took fourth in the fourth in the triple jump and placed fifth in the long jump with a distance of 4.12 meters.

Sophomore Erin Wilber earned a spot for herself on the podium with taking second in the high jump with a distance of 1.47 meters.

The track & field team will be back in action at the Cerritos Invite on Friday, April 13.
