Vikings beat Pasadena 64-62 to advance to SoCal Finals on Saturday

Sophomore Shakeena Benton scored a game-high 27 points to help lead the Long Beach City College women's basketball team to a 64-62 win at Pasadena City College in Round 3 of the CCCAA Southern California Regional Playoffs.

Sophomore Crystal Cockerhan posted a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebonds while freshman Abbey Goodsell had 11 points and nine boards. 

No. 5-seeded Long Beach, now 26-4 overall, will travel to face No. 1 Ventura College on Saturday (Mar 8) at 7 pm in a regional final game. The winner will advance to the CCCAA State Championships on March 14-16 in Cerritos.
