It was recently announced that women's basketball sophomore guard Isabel Lizarraga signed her National Letter of Intent to NCAA Division 1 Mississippi Valley State University to continue her academic and athletic career on a full ride scholarship.

Lizarraga was a huge asset to the Vikings this season, as she led the team to a South Coast Conference Championship with perfect 10-0 conference record, 29 overall record and a SoCal Regional Playoff berth. Lizarraga also earned the South Coast Conference Most Valuable Player award for averaging 17.1 points with 4.9 assists and 3.2 steals per game.

Mississippi Valley State Athletics states, "Lizarraga is a very savvy guard with a high basketball I.Q. that brings immediate experience and steadiness to our program. Lizarraga does a great job of creating for her teammates and being able to find them in tight spaces; as well as the ability to score the ball. She has a leadership quality that will allow her to lead by action and bring good energy to the team."

The Devilettes compete in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and are led third-year head coach Ashley Walker-Johnson.
