Five members of the Long Beach City College women's soccer team earned All-South Coast Conference honors, including two first-team selections. Heading the list are sophomore goalkeeper Evelyn Fierros (Bishop Amat HS) and sophomore defender Niki Voulgaris (Lakewood HS).

Fierros had an impressive 0.29 goals against average over 10 SCC games for the Vikings on her way to first-team honors. While sharing time in goal with fellow sophomore Isabella Reynoso (Lakewood HS), the duo combined to post seven shutouts in SCC play and nine overall. For the season, Fierros totaled 54 saves and had a 0.61 GAA over 16 contests.

Voulgaris, a bounce back from Southern Utah University, anchored the Vikings' defense that allowed 15 goals in 14 conference games. The 5-10 defender was an imposing figure on the back line that was rarely beat one-on-one. She also scored four goals and added an assist for nine points on the season.

Sophomore defenders Sydney Castillo (Palos Verdes HS) and Lizbeth Reyes (Millikan HS) were named second-team All-SCC. Castillo was a second-team selection as a freshman in 2013, while Reyes also earned second-team accolades last year.

Sophomore forward Joanna Perone (San Pedro HS) was an honorable mention SCC selection. Perone closed out her LBCC career tied for the team lead with six goals and was second on the squad with 16 points.

A 9-6-5 overall record and a fourth-place finish in the South Coast Conference standings at 6-4-4 wasn't enough to earn LBCC an at-large berth into the Southern California Regional Playoffs.

The Vikings will miss the postseason for the second straight season but have reached the playoffs 13 of the last 16 years. Conference champion Cerritos College was the lone South Coast team to make the regionals and earned the No. 4 seed.
