Women’s Soccer Shut Out El Camino in First Conference Game

The women's soccer team won their first South Coast Conference game against the El Camino College Warriors 1-0 on Tuesday evening. With the win, the Vikings advance to 2-3-1 overall, and 1-0 in conference play.

Freshman goalkeeper Sara Larios earned her second shut out of the season in the cage against the Warriors and had one save.

The Vikings were scoreless with the Warriors in the first half, but then freshman forward Quinn Trowbridge smashed a laser into El Camino's net off a foul kick.

The Vikings completed the rest of the game and walked away with the 1-0 win over the Warriors. The Long Beach City College women's soccer team will play again on Tuesday, Oct.2 at LA Harbor in their second South Coast Conference game at 2 p.m.
