Women's Soccer Takes Down Lancers

The women's soccer team defeated the Pasadena City College Lancers 3-0 in an epic shut-out on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Vikings increase their overall record to 6-4-1.

The Vikings were in total control of the offense the entire game. They totaled 19 shots with 10 being on the Lancers' goal. Freshman forward Allison Casillas smashed the first Viking goal in the back of the Lancers' net in the 12th minute of the game, and then freshman forward Brittany Caudillo dribbled in the second Viking goal past the Pasadena goalkeeper.

Then in the second half, Caudillo scored her second goal of the game with help from Casillas to take the 3-0 win. Freshman goalkeeper Sara Larios had five saves for the Vikings and this was Larios fifth shut-out game so far this season.

The women's soccer team will play again at home on Tuesday, Oct. 16 against East Los Angeles College at 2 p.m.
