Coming off a 9-0 win at Victor Valley College on Tuesday, the Long Beach City College women's tennis team couldn't keep the momentum going as the Vikings lost 9-0 to visiting Cerritos College on Thursday in their home opener.

The Vikings best shot at a win came at No. 1 singles. Sophomore Nikki Tigas pushed Cerritos's Taylor Heath, but ultimately fell by scores of 6-4, 7-5.

The South Coast Conference loss dropped LBCC to 1-3 overall and 1-2 in SCC play. Long Beach returns to action next Thursday (Feb. 26) when it will host Mt. San Antonio College in a 2 p.m. conference match.
