No. 12 Viking Women's Volleyball Cruises to Straight-Set Victory Over Imperial Valley

The No. 12 Long Beach City College women's volleyball team displayed massive power and dominance in a straight-set victory over Imperial Valley on Friday evening on home turf. Freshman setter Mary McBride (Paradise Valley, AZ) set the offensive pace with 35 assists en route to the 3-0 sweep. 

McBride displayed utter athleticism throughout the three sets by serving up pristine assists to her teammates. Sophomore outside Breana Torres (Long Beach, CA) was the biggest beneficiary by racking up a whopping 15 kills in the match to earn a .333 kill percentage on the night. She was money on the defensive end by recording eight digs as well.

Sophomore outside Kassidy Harrington (Anaheim, CA) was a monster on the outside by finding the hardwood for seven kills. She recorded 13 digs and a solo stuff as well. Sophomore outside Fayleen Valdez (Long Beach, CA) mirrored her teammate by firing home seven kills off 15 attempts. 

Freshman libero Jordan Diaz (La Habra, CA) made a significant impact on the outcome by sending home a pair of service aces and notching 13 digs.

The Vikings (5-2) will continue action on Wednesday, September 21 as the take on Ventura at home.
