No. 20 Women's Volleyball Utilizes Depth in 3-0 Win over L.A. Trade Tech

The No. 20 Long Beach City College women's volleyball team took to its home hardwood on Wednesday night to face off against L.A. Trade Tech in South Coast Conference (SCC) action. The Vikings cruised to an easy three-set victory by utilizing numerous weapons off the bench to earn final set scores of 25-11, 25-9, and 25-16, respectfully. 

Telesia Vasquez highlighted the Long Beach efforts after earning the start in the middle. She took control in each set by recording a team-high eight kills off 22 attmpets. In addition, she recorded two digs on the defneisve end. 

Briana Kahanu made a solid impact in the contest by recording six kills in two sets of action. Her serving skills were on point by sending two to the floor. Breana Toress was a factor in the offensive scheme once again despite playing just one set by firing home six kills. Kassidy Harrington mirrored Torres' output with six kills as well. 

The Vikings looked to Mary Delgado to run the offense tonight and she did so flawlessly by dishing out 18 assists while notching two kills. Her defensive play was money as well, as she recorded nine digs. 

The Vikings have pushed their winning streak to six games. Tonight's win marks Long Beach's 11th straight-set victory on the season. They look to extend that streak on Friday, November 4th against L.A. Harbor away at 6 p.m.
