Volleyball's Johnson Signs with Point Loma Nazarene University

The Long Beach City College volleyball team's freshman outside hitter Tylie Johnson signed her national letter of intent to further her athletic and academic career at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, Calif.

Johnson was a top athlete for the women's volleyball squad this past Fall as she earned First-Team honors on the All-South Coast Conference List.

Johnson was ranked second in conference for having 3.79 kills per set and a grand total of 250 overall kills. She was also ranked fourth in conference for having a hitting percentage of .256. Johnson was a driving force on offense this season and assisted the team in many scoring opportunities.

The Point Loma Nazarene University Sea Lions are led fifth-year head coach Jonathan Scott. The Sea Lions are an NCAA Division II team and compete in the PacWest Conference.
