The state-ranked No. 15 Long Beach City College Vikings swept the Rio Hondo College Roadrunners in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 24-14) conference win on Wednesday evening in the Building Q Gym. With the win, the Vikings advance to 13-6 overall and 8-1 in the South Coast Conference.
Sophomore outside hitter Anisa Lopez was on fire on the court as she led the Vikings with 13 kills against Rio Hondo. She held also had a crucial service ace and totaled six digs and had one block assists to help catapult the Vikings to victory.
Sophomore setters Cairon Fido and Lexi Freeman was all over the court as they assisted the Vikings with ease. Fido totaled 19 assists, while Randolph held on to 16 assists for the Vikings.
The No. 15 Vikings will host Pasadena City College on Friday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. in their next South Coast Conference matchup.
