Women’s Volleyball Blasts Through Rd. 1 of SCC Tournament

The state-ranked No. 16 women's volleyball team swept the East Los Angeles College Huskies 3-0 on Wednesday evening in the Hall of Champions in the first round of the South Coast Conference Tournament.

Sophomore outside hitter Callissa Candalot was on fire throughout the game as she tallied 11 kills and led the team with a .647 kill percentage.

Sophomore setter Lexi Randolph split the work with freshman setter Jillian Petnicki by totaling 15 and 13 assists each to help catapult the Vikings offense.  Freshman middle Rachael Street was also a threat on the serve as she had two service aces for the Vikings.

The Vikings will return to the court on Friday, Nov. 15 in the second round of the South Coast Conference Tournament at Long Beach City College.
