2019 Top Vikings Performance- Volleyball Sweeping Pasadena in Rd. 2 of the SCC Tournament

During the summer, the Vikings will be highlighting some of the Top Team Performances of the 2019-20 year. Due to concerns over COVID-19, competition for all spring sports were canceled halfway through their season.

The Long Beach City College women's volleyball team swept the Pasadena City College Lancers 3-0 in the semifinals of the South Coast Conference Tournament on Nov. 15 in the Hall of Champions. With the win, the Vikings advanced to the final round in the tournament against El Camino.

Sophomore outside hitter Brooke Earkman was the standout Viking as she led the team with 14 dangerous kills against the Lancers. Earkman also tallied 19 digs to help catapult the team to victory. Freshman setter Lexi Randolph was the support system for the Vikings and totaled 15 assists.

Sophomore outside hitter Anisa Lopez was a threat on offense as well with 10 kills, two service aces and had ten digs.

Since the finishing the 2019 season, Earkman has signed her National Letter of Intent to NCAA Division 1 California State University, Fullerton to continue her academic and athletic career at the next level.

Lopez also signed with NCAA Division I Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York to further her volleyball and academic endeavors.
