The Long Beach City College women's water polo team bounced back from a tough overtime loss on Wednesday to pick up a pair of wins at the opening day of the Mt. San Antonio College tournament.

In their morning contest, LBCC defeated Orange Coast College by a final score of 7-4. Sophomore Jackie Rojas (pictured) led LBCC with three goals.

And later in the day, the Vikings cruised to an 11-5 victory over Grossmont College. Freshman Ranya El-Tawil totaled five goals in the rout.

Day 2 of the tourney shifts to Fullerton College. Long Beach, now 6-2 overall, is scheduled to face Los Angeles Valley College at 11:10 am followed by a 1:10 pm contest against Fullerton.
