Sophomore Jackie Rojas (pictured) scored a game-high nine goals to lead the Long Beach City College women's water polo team to an easy 19-8 South Coast Conference win at Rio Hondo College on Wednesday.

With the win, the No. 5 state-ranked Vikings improved to 14-7 overall and 5-1 in conference play. LBCC currently trails first-place Cerritos College at 6-0 and is tied for second with Chaffey College (5-1).

Long Beach will host the two-day Battle at the Beach tournament this weekend (Oct. 19-20) before closing out its SCC schedule at home against Chaffey on Wednesday (Oct. 24) in a game that will decide the No. 2 seed for the conference tournament.
