Tournament schedule
Long Beach City College hosts the 15th annual truWest Battle at the Beach women's water polo tournament on Friday-Saturday (Oct. 19-20). Eight of the state's top-10 teams will be in action at the tournament, which is taking place at LBCC and Cypress College.
The Vikings open tournament play on Friday at 7 a.m. and will face Cypress in the first of 12 games scheduled at LBCC on the opening day. Long Beach will return to the pool at 3:40 p.m. to host Palomar College. Eight games will also be played at Cypress on Friday.
Teams will change sites on Saturday, with the Vikings to play a pair of games at Cypress. The championship final is set for 6:55 p.m. at Cypress.
Directions to LBCC: The LBCC aquatic center is located on the south side of campus (south of Carson St.) directly across from the tennis courts. A daily parking permit is required.
