Long Beach City College sophomore Libby Berry (Millikan HS, pictured) and freshman McKayla Thomas (Millikan HS) both scored five goals each to help lead the Vikings to a 21-8 South Coast Conference win over visiting Rio Hondo College on Wednesday.
Leading 5-2 after one quarter, LBCC blew the game open with six goals in the second to take a commanding 11-4 advantage at halftime.
Sophomore Ranya El-Tawil (Wilson HS) added four goals and sophomore Taylor Faust (Paramount HS) scored three goals.
Later in the afternoon, the Vikings returned to the pool to defeat East Los Angeles College by a final score of 17-2 to close out the regular-season schedule.
Long Beach (11-15, 6-2 SCC) returns to action on November 8-9 for the South Coast Conference Championships at Rio Hondo College.
