The Long Beach City College women's water polo team came back from a semifinal loss to defeat Cerritos College 13-6 in Saturday's third-place game at the South Coast Conference Championship tournament at Mt. San Antonio College on Saturday.

Long Beach is 20-10 overall heading into next week's (Nov. 12-15) Southern California Regional Championships at Citrus College. According to LBCC head coach, the LBCC women will likely earn the No. 7 seed for the tournament.

On Thursday, the Vikings opened SCC tournament play with a 5-1 win over El Camino College.  Then later in the day, LBCC suffered a 10-7 loss to Chaffey College in the semifinals.
