The Long Beach City College women's water polo team, who recently finished third at the South Coast Conference Championships, will continue its postseason run as the Vikings are seeded seventh for the upcoming Southern California Regional Championships at Citrus College.

The LBCC women are 20-10 overall as they head to the regionals this week. The Vikings have won four of their last six games.

The Viking women face a tougher path then the men's squad, as they will play No. 10 Santa Barbara City College in an opening-round game on Thursday (Nov. 13) at 12:00 p.m. A win in that contest would advance the Vikings to a quarterfinal match against No. 2 Riverside City College at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Long Beach would need to win at least three games to advance to Saturday's championship final at 2:45 p.m. and secure a trip to the state championships.
