After an opening-round bye, the top-seeded Long Beach City College women's water polo team hopped into the pool for its first game in the South Coast Conference (SCC) Championship Tournament on Friday evening against Chaffey College. The Vikings absolutely dominate the contest by not allowing a goal until the final 17 seconds of the second period en route to a commanding 18-3 victory.

The Vikings rallied off 14 consecutive goals to begin the contest and did so by utilizing a deep arsenal of weapons. Sophomore center Burdette Forsch was unstoppable on the scoring end as well as the facilitating end. She led the way by humming home four goals and dishing out two assists during the streak.

One of Forsch's assists was to freshman attacker Samantha Wooley who fired four shots to the back of the net. Freshman attacker Sydney Kohlenberger was an animal in the water as well by recording three goals.

Freshman attacker Victoria Johnson continued to act as a threat on the offensive end by zipping three goals by the Chaffey goalkeeper en route to an 18-3 win.

Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Bennett was phenomenal once again by recording 12 saves in the victory.

The Vikings return to the SCC Championship Tournament Finals once again and will face off against Mt. San Antonio at 3:15 p.m.
