The women's water polo team defeated the Rio Hondo College Roadrunners 17-4 in conference action on Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Vikings remain undefeated in the South Coast Conference with a 5-0 record and 9-7 overall.
The Vikings came out hard as they dominated the first quarter with nine goals and shut out the Roadrunners. The Vikings kept the offensive momentum throughout the game and totaled 16 steals against Rio Hondo College.
Sophomore center Sabrina Juarez led the Vikings with four goals and sophomore attacker Harlie Whelan and freshman center Alejandra Villa were right behind her with three goals each.
The women's water polo team will play again in another South Coast Conference game on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at Chaffey College at 3 p.m.
