Women’s Water Polo Dominates El Camino 21-4

The women's water polo team defeated the El Camino College Warriors 21-4 on Wednesday afternoon at the Vikings Pool Deck. With the win, the Vikings advance to 10-1 overall and remain undefeated in the South Coast Conference 3-0.

The Warriors didn't have a chance as sophomore attacker Sydney Brightenburg scored the first goal for the Vikings within the first minute of the game. Freshman attacker Rachel Westphal, sophomore center Alejandra Villa and sophomore attacker Jillian Schultz all went on to score three goals each against El Camino.

Freshman attacker Quynn Gillan led the team with 10 goals against the Warriors.

Alinna Perez and Calla Torres were unstoppable in the cage as they only let four total goals by them.

The Vikings will return to the pool on Friday, Oct. 4 in the Cuesta College Invitational.
