Women’s Water Polo Remain Undefeated in Conference

The No. 4 Long Beach City College women's water polo team defeated the Cerritos College Falcons 13-6 to go undefeated with a 7-0 record in the South Coast Conference. With the win, the Vikings bring their overall record up to 20-5.

Freshman goalkeeper Calla Torres was relentless as she had 13 saves against the Falcons.

Freshman attacker Rachel Westphal led the team with three goals, while sophomore attackers Jillian Schultz and Sydney Brightenburg, and sophomore defender Karissa Qualley had two goals each.

The Vikings held the Falcons from the start and finished the game with the 13-6 win. The No. 4 women's water polo team will be back in the pool in the South Coast Conference Championships on Thursday, Nov. 8 at Cerritos College.
