Women’s Cross Country: Long Beach earns ninth place at Palomar Invitational

The Long Beach City College women's cross country team totaled 235 points to finish in ninth place out of 11 teams at the Palomar Invitational on Friday at Guajome Park in Oceanside.

Sophomore Alondra Canchola led LBCC with her 31st place finish. She cleared the course with a time of 22:45. Freshman Amalia Erazo joined her in the top 50, as she took 40th with a time of 23:20.

Victor Valley was the top women's team with 79 points. Ayded Reyes of Southwestern won the event with an impressive time of 18:58.

Long Beach returns to action on Saturday (Sep 17) when it will compete at the Orange Coast Classic at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa.
