Women’s Cross Country: Long Beach sends four to Palomar Invitational

Action continued for the Long Beach City College women's cross country team as the Vikings had four individuals compete at the Palomar Invitational at Guajome Park in Oceanside on Friday.

LBCC did not register a team score but came home with excellent times.

Freshman Diana Ramos led Long Beach with her 49th place finish. She cleared the course with a time of 23:47.95 to pace the Vikings.

Sophomore Valerie Nettles wasn't far behind in 56th place at 24:05.61. Freshman Allison Martinez ran 24:32.96 for 63rd place and freshman Courtney Porter finished 69th with a time of 26:07.84.

Long Beach returns to action next Saturday (Sep 15) when it will compete at the Orange Coast Classic at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa. The event will also serve as the Southern California Preview meet.
