Women’s Cross Country: Ramos in 16th place leads LBCC in San Diego

Freshman Diana Ramos (pictured) ran 23:44 for 16th place to lead the Long Beach City College women's cross country team at the San Diego Invitational at Mission Bay Park on Friday.

The Vikings had just four runners at the meet and did not earn a team score.

Not far behind Ramos was sophomore Valerie Nettles in 18th place at 23:40. Freshman Marina Jimenez ran 25:06 for 24th place and freshman Courtney Porter took 34th place with a time of 26:25.

The Long Beach women return to action on Friday (Oct. 12) when they will compete at the Mt. SAC Invitational. The race is scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
