Women’s Cross Country: Muldrow, Luckey to represent Long Beach at State Championships

Long Beach City College freshman Asia Muldrow (left) and sophomore Sonnaca Luckey (right) have both qualified for the State Championships following their finishes at Saturday’s Southern California Regional Championship meet at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. As a team, the LBCC women totaled 510 points to finish in 22nd place.

Women’s Cross Country: Long Beach qualifies for SoCal Regionals after sixth-place finish at SCC finals

The Long Beach City College women’s cross country team will be returning to the Southern California Regional Championships for the first time since 2012 after qualifying for the event with a sixth-place finish at the South Coast Conference Championships on Friday.

Freshman Asia Muldrow (Frederick K.C. Price III Christian) ran a personal-best time of 21:34.7 to lead the Long Beach City College women’s cross country team at the Southern California Preview Meet in San Diego on Friday. The Vikings totaled 426 points to finish in 17th place out of 24 teams.

Competing with just five runners, the Long Beach City College women’s cross country team totaled 349 points to finish in 15th place out of 16 teams at the highly-competitive Fresno Invitational at Woodward Park on Friday. Freshman Asia Muldrow led LBCC with her 62nd-place finish.

The Long Beach City College women’s cross country team totaled 66 points to finish in third place at the season-opening Tour de Cuesta in San Luis Obispo on Friday. Freshman Kimberly Munoz led Long Beach in her Vikings debut with a seventh-place finish. She cleared the 5K Fairbanks Cross Country Course with a time of 22.27.1.
