Viking Women's Cross Country Places Sixth at Ventura Invitational

The Long Beach City College women's cross country team traveled to Ventura, CA to participate in the Ventura Invitational for their opening meet in the 2016 campaign. The Vikings placed fifth amongst tough competition, earning a total time of 2:09.51 to equal 102 points on the day.

Sophomore Alex Ceballos (Long Beach, CA) highlighted the Viking's efforts by finishing fourth overall after earning a mark of 22:03.5 with an average mile time of 7:05.9. Freshman Lauryn Jones (Long Beach, CA) finished in the top-20 by crossing the finish line with a final time of 24:33.6. Other times for Long Beach included:

The Vikings will continue action on Saturday, September 10 by competing in the Fresno Invitational in Fresno, CA.
