The men's and women's cross country team competed in the SoCal Preview in Cerritos over the weekend. Sophomore Moises Marquez was the top finisher for the Vikings with placing 19th and sophomore Lilyanna Figueroa was the top finisher for the women's team with 21st place.
Sophomore Angelica Estrada was up next for the women's team with crossing the finish line with a time of 23:40.1, then freshman Shavone Nora came in right behind her with a 31:27.8.
For the men's team, sophomore Rafael Gonzalez averaged a 5:23 per mile and finished with a total time of 21:32. Sophomore Ruben Bramasco was next up for the Vikings with a 22:16.5.
The Long Beach City College cross country team will race again on Sept. 28 at the Coach Downey Classic at San Diego City College.
